Charges for Office Visits or Telemedicine Appointments
New Patient | Existing Patient
$155 | $140 | Single-problem-focused appointment
200 | 185 | Comprehensive skin cancer and mole exam
60 | 60 | Addition for expanded or added issue |
Fees are based on a combination of the time dedicated and the medical expertise applied to diagnose skin problems and develop a treatment plan. The time we schedule for patients is well above average. A single-problem-focused appointment or visit with an “added issue” generally involves 15-20 minutes of direct time with the physician. An in-office comprehensive skin cancer and mole exam generally involves 20-30 minutes. Our goal is to provide a personalized level of patient care.
Charges for Medical Procedures or Services
There are additional charges for certain medical procedures and services that may be performed during an appointment, such as biopsies of suspicious lesions, excisions of benign and malignant lesions, cryo-destruction (freezing/“burning”) of warts or lesions, incision and drainage of abscesses or cysts, removal of skin tags, milia, acne lesions or foreign objects, debridement of a wound, and the initial registration/set-up for treatment with isotretinoin (“Accutane”) when appropriate.
Please note: There will be an additional charge from a pathology lab for specimens sent for pathological evaluation. The pathology lab that we use accepts insurance or otherwise offers a cash-pay rate of $35 per specimen.
